The purchasing cooperation BAUVISTA and ProMaterial jointly promote digitisation in the construction materials trade

Düsseldorf/Neuss - Technology specialist ProMaterial and the purchasing cooperation BAUVISTA have agreed on a close cooperation: The approximately 200 members of BAUVISTA will in future be able to digitize, automate and make the sale of their products more efficient with the help of ProMaterial technology.

With more than 200 locations in the construction materials trade, BAUVISTA represents medium-sized construction materials dealers throughout Germany. As a full-service provider for construction materials retailers, DIY stores and gardening, BAUVISTA supports its shareholders in purchasing, marketing, sales and personnel matters.

The ProMaterial technology supports manufacturers and dealers in the digitalization of the construction material distribution. The direct technical connection gives dealers access to high-quality product information, article texts, product images, data sheets, declarations of performance and more in order to be able to present and offer the products in the dealer's own sales channels in a largely automated way. Without any maintenance effort, the current and complete product data is exchanged between the manufacturer and dealer system on the various digital distribution channels. Products are uniformly described by an international industry standard, the UniversalTypes from buildingSMART International. The new partnership between BAUVISTA and ProMaterial regulates the use of the ProMaterial solution for members at special conditions.

Johannes Häringslack, Managing Director Sales and Strategic Direction at BAUVISTA, says: "The digitalization of purchasing and sales processes is of fundamental importance for our member companies. We are pleased that with ProMaterial we now have a competent partner at our side for digital sales in order to be further prepared for the future. ProMaterial promises to be the ideal complement to our long-standing partner Heinze Baudatenbank".

Nils Gagzow, Managing Director Sales of ProMaterial, confirms: "We are very pleased about the partnership with BAUVISTA as one of the leading cooperations for DIY and wholesale. This strong position enables the members of BAUVISTA to position themselves even more professionally in all digital sales channels, especially in the online distribution of building products. Especially in the current situation, we expect a growing trend in the digital procurement of building materials.

About ProMaterial:
ProMaterial is the new technology network specialized in e-sourcing and online distribution of building products. The innovative SaaS technology supports manufacturers and distributors to present and efficiently sell construction materials and products with excellent data quality via various channels on the Internet. ProMaterial itself is a technology supplier and not a market participant. All groups of buyers find information about the products in the required form, in industry software solutions, online marketplaces, BIM or calculation systems or more simply via web shop. Professional customers and end users can more conveniently order a wider range of products. Under the auspices of buildingSMART International (bSI), ProMaterial is working with the industry to develop a new manufacturer-neutral description format for the properties of construction products. UniversalTypes, supported by many other software partners, are introduced in 25 country organizations of bSI.
